JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Former Hays High volleyball standout Brooklyn Schaffer has been named the NJCAA Region 8 Defensive Player of the Week.

Schaffer is a sophomore libero at Florida State College-Jacksonville and had 34 digs against Lake Sumter State College and 33 at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota.
