HAYS – Hill City won the Mid-Continent League Golf Tournament by two strokes over Oakley Thursday at the Fort Hays Municipal Golf Course. The Ringnecks shot a 340. Hoxie finished in third place with a 348. Plainville finished sixth (355), TMP-Marian seventh (367), Ellis eighth (368) and Trego ninth (392).
Norton’s Eli Jones was the individual champ. He defeated Austin Carroll of Ellis in a one-hole playoff. Both had rounds of 4-under-par 75. Hill City’s Noah Fry fired a 76 and placed third. Plainville’s Noah Brewster tied for fourth with a 77.
