THOMAS COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 1p.m. Saturday in Thomas County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Dodge Ram driven by Julio C. Rodriguez-Sanchez, 54, Lexington, Nebraska, was northbound on U.S. Highway 83, one mile east of County Road 28. The driver failed to yield right of way at U.S. 24. A westbound 2018 Nissan Versa driven by Virginia J. Bieker, 86, Hoxie, struck the utility trailer pulled by the pickup.
EMS transported Bieker to Citizen's Medical Center. Rodriguez-Sanchez was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
