Harold Gene Lonsinger, 95, of Alton, KS passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 in rural Alton, KS. He was born on November 5, 1926 to Louis & Bessie (Snodgrass) Lonsinger in Wamego, KS. Harold was one of 11 children.
Harold graduated from high school and graduated from KSU in 1956 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to college, he served in the U. S. Army during WWII and the Korean wars.
Harold worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Cary Salt, and also for Doscisil that makes sausage for Pizza Hut in Hutchinson, KS. In 1996, he started farming in the Alton, KS area.
Harold married Olympia Braez and to this union, no children were born. Olympia passed away in 2009.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Olympia and siblings: Don, Delbert & Frances.
Harold is survived by sisters: Virginia Deitrich of Topeka, KS; Vera A. Lichtenban of Warrensburg, MO; Judith Tipton of Bynum, TX; brothers: Richard Lonsinger of Osborne, KS; Jack Lonsinger of Liberty, MO; Lawrence Lonsinger of Bakersfield, CA; Robert Lonsinger of Florence, OR.
