Tyson A. Eaton

Tyson A. Eaton, 41, Hays, died Saturday, November 14, 2020, at HaysMed.

He was born February 6, 1979, in Riverton, Wyoming, the son of Erik and Jacque (Murphy) Eaton.  On September 30, 2006, he was united in marriage to Kelli J. Horn in Hays, and they celebrated 14 years of marriage.  He was a call center manager for Asurion.  In his youth, he enjoyed working summers at Hoback Village in Bondurant, Wyoming.  He liked reading, camping, Barbeque, painting miniature figures, 3-D printing, making things, and assembling numerous LEGO sets.  He was involved with Boy Scouts, and with his son Mason, Tyson enjoyed playing Dungeons and Dragons and especially liked playing Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy.  He was a techie, had a good sense of humor, and was very caring.   

Survivors include his wife Kelli of Hays, a son: Mason Eaton and a daughter: Kayden Eaton, both of Hays, a stepdaughter: Kylie of Hawthorne, NV, his father: Erik Eaton and significant other Ruth Legleiter of Hays, his mother: Jacque Sadowski and husband Kevin of Hickory Creek, TX, two grandfathers: Bill Murphy of Gorham and Ken Myers of Riverton, WY,  father-in-law: Daniel Horn, Sr. and wife Dorothy of Galva, mother-in-law: Debra Dougherty and husband Karl of Joplin, MO, a brother: Mitchell Eaton and fiancé Jessica Miller of Russell, a sister: Shannon Ballenger and significant other Jordan Pemberton of Wichita, two step-brothers: Brent Legleiter of Hays and Michael Sadowski of West Pueblo, CO, two brothers-in-law: Daniel Horn, Jr. and wife Christy of Lawrence and Dustin Horn and wife Emily of Dodge City, a sister-in-law: Kristin Ford and husband Johnny of Blue Springs, MO, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Arthur Eaton and two grandmothers: Jan Murphy and Dorothy Myers.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Fr. Michael Elan officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Gorham.  Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 on Wednesday and from 9:00 am until 10:00 on Thursday, all at the funeral home.
