Lawrence M. 'Larry' Koirth, 75, Munjor, died Monday April 21, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born November 27, 1949 in Denver, Colorado, the son of Irving M. and Rosemary “Rosie” (Younger) Koirth.  Larry graduated from Hays High School in 1968 and served in the U.S. Army Reserves for six years.  On August 22, 1970 he was united in marriage to Gloria Pfannenstiel at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Munjor.  For 47 years he was part owner of Oldham Sales and after his retirement, he worked part-time for John Dreiling Field Services.  Larry was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, and enjoyed restoring vehicles as well as going to and participating in car shows.  Larry loved his family, his corgi Ginger was his pride and joy, and he always enjoyed afternoons on the porch drinking a Michelob Ultra with Gloria and welcoming friends who would stop by to visit.       

Survivors include his wife Gloria of Munjor, his son, Curtis Koirth and wife Kassy of Goddard, daughter Brandi Zimmerman and husband Brandon of Hays, sister, Etta Ann Wilkerson and husband Tom of Sherman, Texas, seven grandchildren, Ashley Little and husband Colin of Pratt, Sydney Parsons and husband Thomas of Pratt, Korrtney and Kaizly Koirth, both of Goddard, Austin Zimmerman and fiancé Quinlan Weigel, Mika Zimmerman, and Jerzi Zimmerman, all of Hays, three step grandchildren, Garret Oneyear of Lubbock, Texas, Kally Oneyear of Wichita, and Drake VanScoyoc of Hays, and four great grandchildren, Gavin Koirth, Weston Little, Brogan Little, and Ella Parsons, all of Pratt.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Robert and Phillip Koirth.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Friday, April 25, 2025 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Munjor with Fr. Damian Richards officiating.  The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until service time with recitation of the rosary at 9:30, all the church.  Inurnment will be at a later date in St. Francis Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to HaysMed Hospice, Cancer Council of Ellis County, or to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.  Services are in the care of Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home and condolences and memories of Larry may be left for his family at www.haysmemorial.com
