Lucy Kathleen Herrman, 83, LaCrosse, died Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at HaysMed surrounded by her loving family.
She was born November 10, 1942 in Liebenthal the youngest of 16 children to Leo and Elizabeth (Burgardt) Herrman. She graduated from Schoenchen High School in 1960 and on September 15, 1962 she was united in marriage to William V. Herrman at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Liebenthal, a union that spanned nearly 64 years. They were blessed with four children Lisa, Kevin, Rachel, and Nathan. Lucy worked at Travenol in Hays and then was a seamstress at LaCrosse Furniture Factory for 27 years.
She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in LaCrosse, the St. Michael rosary making group, and she enjoyed embroidery and sewing beautiful quilts for her children and grandchildren. She loved playing Bingo, going to special music events at Beach-Schmidt Performing Arts Center, and traveling on Ag trips with William. She and William were avid supporters of LaCrosse athletics and the students voted to give them a lifetime pass to all sporting events, an honor fitting to such loyal fans who attended nearly every event.
