HAYS – One night after seeing their record 14-game win streak snapped, the Hays Larks have three pitchers combine on a one-hit shutout and beat the Denver Cougars 11-0 in seven innings Saturday evening at Larks Park.
Starter Jose Velazquez (5-0) pitched four hitless innings with four stikeouts and two walks for the win. Jackson Blue allowed one hit with one strikeout and three walks over two innings. Maxx Castellucci pitched the seventh with two strikeouts and two walks.
The Larks (27-5, 15-3 RMBL) scored in every inning but the fourth.
