Michael “Mike” Reever passed away at his home in Olathe, Kansas, on August 8, 2021, after a brief illness. He was 55. Mike was born on September 18, 1965, in Hays, Kansas, to Richard and Janet (Myers) Reever. He married Tomasina Rattarree on August 12, 1989. They later divorced. He married Mandy Whitehead on September 22, 2001, and they later divorced.
Mike attended Hays High School. He followed in his dad’s footstep and spent his career working in construction, most recently as a superintendent at Grayling, Inc., in Kansas City. Mike enjoyed NASCAR, watching the Kansas City Chiefs, driving his boat around Smithville Lake with his family onboard, and planning his next travel adventure. He always wanted to help others and was as real as a person could be.
His children were the light of his life. He is survived by Christopher, Hannah, and Alexandra; granddaughter, Layla; ex-wives, Tomasina and Mandy; siblings, Dale, Traci Burney (Jim), Marci (Steve Handley), Jami (Kim Simons) Kyle (Heather) and TJ; many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
