
Florena "Flo" Barbara Heili, 90, died on Friday, February 5, 2021, at
Highline Rehabilitation And Care Center in Denver, Colorado. She was
born on April 27, 1930, at Gove, Kansas, the daughter of Martin &
Matilda (Herman) Rohr. She married Alvin E. Heili on September 11, 1947, at Clayton, New Mexico. He died on June 9, 2000.
Flo was a lifetime Garden City resident where she raised her 7
children. She later was an antique dealer. She was a member of St Mary
Catholic Church of Garden City. She had a lifetime love of quilting,
making handmade quilts for family and her doctors.
She is survived by 5 Sons- Arthur Heili of Grainfield, Edward Heili of
Wichita, Andrew “Jake” Heili of Claremont, North Carolina, Bill Heili
and Thomas Heili both of Aurora, Colorado, Daughter- Bonnie Burgardt of
Minot, South Dakota, & Numerous Grandchildren
and Great-Grandchildren. In addition to her husband, her daughter Nancy
Gillock preceded her in death.
A Rosary will be held at 1:30 PM followed by the Funeral Mass at 2:00 PM
Saturday at St Mary Catholic Church with Rev Jacob Schneider as
Celebrant. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Garden City.
Friends may call from Noon to 8:00 PM Friday and 9:00 AM to Noon
Saturday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. Memorials are
suggested to St Mary Catholic Church in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
