Steve James Jacobus Sr., age 79, died on April 29, 2021, at the Kearny County Hospital. He was born November 4, 1941, in Sedan, Kansas, the son of Charles Marion and Emma “Ines” Jacobus.
He was a member of the Tribune Community until his retirement in January of 2020.
On January 7, 1961, he married Louise May Russell in Scott City, Kansas. She preceded him in death on September 23, 2000, in Garden City, Kansas.

Hunter Morrison of La Junta, Colorado
Jessica Lee of Gresham, Oregon
One Sister-in-law Neva Jacobus of Scott City, Kansas
11 great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Steven Jacobus Jr.; daughter, Jackie Ann Atkinson; one grandson, Wayne Schlitter; one brother, Roy Jacobus.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at 10:00 am MST at Price & Sons Funeral Home of Tribune, Kansas.
Visitation will be from 10-8 on Monday, May 3, 2021, at the funeral home in Tribune.
Private family interment will be held at a later date.
