Kelly Beisner

Posted Nov 23, 2020 2:16 PM

Kelly Vaughn Beisner, 66, passed away of COVID complications on Thursday evening, November 19, 2020, at Good Samaritan Society in Ellis, Kansas.  He had fought a long-time battle with Parkinson’s for 17 years.

Kelly was born on January 15, 1954, in Oakley, KS, the son of Harold O. and Betty (Gatlin) Beisner.  He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Kansas State University in 1978.  Kelly had a wonderful career in the golf industry and was awarded several salesman awards during his tenure with TORO.  He was united in marriage to Sandra (Taylor) Beisner on May 10, 1997, at the St. Fidelis Church in Victoria, Kansas.

Kelly loved people; his family and many friends.  He never met a stranger and thoroughly enjoyed life!  His smile was infectious and lit up the room!  Of course, his favorite hobby was golf and he enjoyed watching Kansas State and KC Chiefs football; he basically enjoyed almost any sporting event.  He also enjoyed playing cards with his family and couldn’t conceal his joy when winning.  He definitely didn’t have a ‘poker face’.  Kelly was a member or affiliated with several Sales, Turf, Equipment and Golf Organizations during his career.

Survivors include his wife, Sandy of the home; son, Taylor and daughter, Grace, both of Hays.  His sister, Linda West (Paul) of Norfolk, Virginia; his brother Kent Beisner (Diana) of Lawrence; stepmother Marian Clinkenbeard, Topeka; stepsisters Kathy Johnson (Greg), Topeka; Kristi Russell (Leroy), Auburn; Kim Girolametto (Danilo), Leawood and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to Good Samaritan Society in Ellis for your kindness, love and compassion, as well as other care-givers who have helped and loved Kelly as his disease progressed.
