🏃 FHSU men 8th at conference championships; two earn All-MIAA

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Fort Hays State men's cross country team placed eighth at the 2024 MIAA Championships Saturday (Oct. 24), with two Tigers receiving All-MIAA honors. The Tigers racked up 153 team points, just two behind seventh place, four back of sixth and 14 behind fourth place.

Jaret Pfizenmaier led the Tigers to the line with a 15th-place finish, good for honorable mention All-MIAA status. The senior completed the eight-kilometer trek in a personal-best 24:16.4. Christian Darrah crossed the line just behind his teammate, also earning honorable mention All-MIAA recognition with a 16th-place finish. Darrah turned in a time of 24:17.5.

Brady Stegman traversed the course in 24:52.0, good for 29th place. Ethan Fisher placed 41st with a time of 25:08.7, while Noah Morenz rounded out the Tiger team scoring with a time of 25:28.9.Northwest Missouri State secured the team title with 47 team points.

UP NEXT

Fort Hays State will next travel to Joplin, Mo. for the 2024 NCAA DII Central Region Championships on November 9. The men's 10-kilometer race is slated to begin at 11:15 a.m.
