Gary Alan Biles, 75, passed away June 4, 2022, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.  He was born August 19, 1946, in Great Bend, to Orville and Thelma (Cain) Biles. Gary married Julita (Campbell) Howard Aug. 10, 1994, in Russell.

Gary had been a Hoisington resident since 1996, coming from Russell and Larned, and spent most of his growing up years in Palco.  Gary was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Hoisington, SRCA, former member of the Mid America MOPAR Association, and enjoyed drag racing, fishing and hunting in his younger years.  During his more active career years, Gary managed a fuel station in Larned, worked in construction and the oilfield, and was a mechanic, plumber and carpenter.  Never having idle hands, more recently his time was occupied with lawn care, landscaping and tireless volunteerism.

Survivors include his wife, Julita of the home; children, Jeremy Biles (Kellie) of Jasper Mo., Ondrya Hardten (Jerry) of Great Bend, Christine Schultz (Jared) of Ellsworth, Sheri Howard of Virginia City, Minn., and John D. Howard, III of Wahiawa, Hawaii; one brother, Rick Biles of Russell; one sister Sara Billinger (John) of Hill City; 15 grandchildren, Kirk Mannette, Alyssa Mannette, Taylor Biles, Katelyn Biles, Kylee Biles, Aaron Scheck, James Waller, Caitlynn Waller, Emily Waller, Ryan Schultz, Addie Rose Schultz, Samantha Howard, Ava Haavisto, Alexis Howard and Lily Howard; and four great grandchildren, Michael Mannette, Kaiser Mannette, Magnolia Biles and James Logan Waller.

He was preceded in death by one brother, John Biles; and two sisters, infant Sharon Biles and Joan Biles.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2022, at First United Methodist Church, Hoisington, with Rev. Chris Lehew presiding.  Cremation will take place at a later date.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
