THOMAS COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just after 9:30p.m. Tuesday in Thomas County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Kenworth semi driven by Gary W. Schnakenberg, 69, Sedalia, MO., was westbound on Interstate 70 just west of U.S. 24 when the vehicle left the roadway to the right.
The driver overcorrected and the vehicle overturned and came to rest on the passenger side in the north ditch.
EMS transported Schnakenberg to Citizens Medical Center in Colby and then he was flown to Swedish Medical Center in Denver. He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
