Both the Hays High wrestling teams are ranked heading into the winter break.
The girls were ranked eighth in class 6-5A by the most recent KWCA rankings. The Indians have three individuals ranked. Tionna Napue is third at 120, Addison Otte sixth at 125 and Lexi Burton second at 140.
The Western Athletic Conference holds four of the top ten spots. Dodge City is the topped ranked team, Garden City is third and Great Bend is fourth.
The boys team is ranked tenth in 5A. Goddard is at the top of the rankings followed by Andover, St. Thomas Aquinas and Great Bend.
Three boys are currently ranked. Elijah McCullough is fourth at 113. Defending state champion Harley Zimmerman is up to weight class 144 and is ranked number one. Dalton Meyers is at 190 this year and is ranked sixth.
