Mark A. Wilson, 54, Hays, died Monday, September 19, 2022, at his home.
He was born October 13, 1967, in Hays, the son of Charles B. and Loretta M. (Vratil) Wilson. Mark was a graduate of Hays High School in the class of 1986 and faithfully attended Cornerstone Southern Baptist Church. In his early years, he loved selling the Wichita Eagle newspaper, and through his hard work and success was awarded several trips and prizes. He enjoyed helping others, especially assisting elderly people with their shopping and transportation needs. He loved listening to music, watching Jeopardy, and was affectionately known and loved as Uncle Mark.
Survivors include his brothers: Terry Wilson and wife Dana of Hot Springs, AK, Galen McLaughlin, Craig McLaughlin and wife Chris, and Monte Wilson, all of Hays, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Randy Wilson and Dennis McLaughlin, and a nephew: Trevor McLaughlin.
A Celebration of Life will be at 10:30 am on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Cornerstone Southern Baptist Church with Pastor Jason Murray officiating. Inurnment will follow in Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Gorham. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until service time at the church.
