Michael Allen Zollinger, 56, passed away on Dec. 5, 2021, in Jennings,
KS. He was born on April 20, 1965, in Colby, KS to Ralph Orland and
Carolyn Mae (Crumb) Zollinger.
Michael was the youngest of four children. His childhood was spent
growing up on a farm in Edson, KS. Later he graduated from Grinnell High
School. In 1982, he married Shonda Evans and from this union two
daughters were born, Amanda and Savannah. He spent several years as an
over the road trucker and working on farms.
One of his greatest passions was riding his bike across the
countryside. He enjoyed going on Poker Runs with friends and taking
Sunday rides. He was so proud of his two girls and loved them so much.
His grandchildren brought him so much joy. He loved to watch them play
sports.
Michael is survived by his daughters; Amanda Strnad of Belleville,
KS and Savannah Zollinger of Belleville, KS, grandchildren; Olivia,
Kolby, Klayton, and Kolin Strnad, Jada Zollinger, and Everlee Speakman,
mother; Carolyn Rauch of Belleville, KS, siblings; Paula (Dave) Krizek
of Jennings, KS, Donna (Dean) Fenner of Goodland, KS, Carol (Larry)
Gotchall of Schoenchen, KS, Bob (Marilyn) Zollinger of Ellinwood, KS,
Cyndy (Tim) Hurd of Peculiar, MO, and Connie Zollinger of Hutchinson,
KS. Mike is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and many friends. He
is preceded by his father; Ralph, stepfather; Grant “Slim” Rauch, and
stepmother; Maxine Zollinger.
