HAYS – The Hays High girls’ Gold team won their own tennis invitational Saturday. The Gold team finished with 25 points, three ahead of Victoria. The Hays Maroon squad placed fourth with 15 points.
The Hays Gold was led by the No. 1 Doubles team of Kaelin Maier and Alyse Zimmerman and the No. 2 Doubles team of Kallyn Meyers and Tori Miller. Both went 3-0 on the day.
Maycie Holdeman want 2-1 at No. 1 Singles as did Ani McClure at No. 2 Doubles.
Melissa Boland went 2-1 for the Hays Marron at No. 2 Singles. Delia Dixon and Emersyn Sander were 2-1 at No. 1 Doubles. Isabelle Jones finished 1-2 and No. 1 Singles. Hannah Crain and Karley Shlautman went 1-2 at No. 2 Doubles.
Piper Nowlin led Victoria with a 3-0 record at No. 2 Singles. Aurora Nowlin went 2-1 at No. 1 Singles. The No. 1 Doubles team of Hailey Gier and Anna-Marie Marsell went 2-1 as did the No. 2 Doubles team of Saige Moos and Rachel Kuhn.
