Elmer F. Bronson, 79, passed away March 13, 2024 at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned.

He was born August 1, 1944 in Great Bend, the son of Wilfred and Lucille Breshears Bronson.

A lifetime area resident, he was a welder for Doerr Metal, Larned and Great Bend Industries. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned. Elmer enjoyed bowling, decorating for holidays and loved to work on cars and help his family.

On May 9, 1963 he married Jane Perez at Larned, she preceded him in death on January 15, 2002.

Survivors include: daughter, Jenny (Tracy) Rector, Larned; three sons, Tony Bronson, Great Bend, Bill Bronson, Buffalo, Wyoming, Wayne (Angela) Bronson, Larned; two brothers, Clarence Reuben Bronson Jr., Texas, Craig Bendell Bronson, Colorado; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

On April 12, 2019 he married Frances Earegood at Larned; she survives.

Other survivors include: two-step daughters, Elizabeth Earegood and Erin (Ethan) Lattin, all of Larned; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; step-mother, Mae Bronson; wife, Jane Bronson; brother, Wilfred Lewis Bronson; step-son, Christopher Earegood and daughter-in-law, Karen Bronson.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned with Father Anselm Eke presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, with a rosary and vigil at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Larned Cemetery.
