ELLIS COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 9a.m. Wednesday in Ellis County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Freightliner semi driven by Robert W. Miller, 45, Springfield, Missouri, was westbound on Interstate 70 just west of Yocemento Avenue.
The driver made an evasive maneuver and lost control of the vehicle. The semi left the roadway to the right and when the driver attempted to correct back to onto the roadway it overturned in the north ditch.
EMS transported Miller to Hays Medical Center. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
