The National Weather Service in Dodge City is calling for the mercury to rise heading into and through the weekend, with Monday's high expected be near 60 in the Hays area.
Gusty winds will shift to south Friday, with a high in the upper-40s expected. Saturday and Sunday highs will be in the mid- to upper-50s.
There is only a slight chance of rain in the long-term forecast — a 20 percent chance of rain on Tuesday, the NWS predicted.
