NORTON COUNTY— A northwest Kansas woman will avoid further jail time for drug possession.
In April, a Norton County sheriff's deputy conducted a traffic stop involving a driver identified as 61-year-old Glenda Willprecht on U.S. 36 near Road W1, according to a a media release from the sheriff's office.
During the stop, the deputy developed probable cause that Willprecht was involved in criminal activity. Willprecht was found to be in possession of 145.2 grams, or 5.12 ounces, of methamphetamine. She was arrested and charged with drug possession.
On September 3, Willprecht was sentenced in Norton County District Court to 11 months of underlying imprisonment and placed on probation for felony possession of methamphetamine, according to the sheriff’s office.
