WICHITA - Fort Hays State golfer Morgan Brasser fired a final round 71
to finish third at the Kansas Women’s Amateur Championship Wednesday at Crestview
County Club in Wichita.

The Fort Hays State senior-to-be and Andale native finished all
three rounds under par.

Brasser opened the tournament Tuesday with a first-round
one-under 71 and a two-under 70 in the second round. She was in fourth after
the first day.

On the final day, Wednesday, Brasser finished with a
one-under 71 and moved up one spot for a third-place finish with a three-day
total of 212.

Emerie Schartz of Wichita won the tournament with a three day
total of nine-under 207. 

Westwood’s Hanna Robinett was four shots back with a
five-under 211.
