Joyce Marie Forbes, 66, left this earth on June 14, 2021, at the Morton County Hospital in Elkhart.
She was born March 30, 1955, in Owensboro, Ky., to Anna and Obert Bryant.
In her teenage years, she moved to Elkhart where she met Vince Forbes, and they were married May 25, 1974.
Joyce’s love and passion was to take her cruises. She was always planning her next one and where to go.
She is survived by her husband, Vince, of their home; sister, Martha Bryant of Elkhart; three daughters, Tammy Cayouette and husband, Jim, of Coventry, R. I., Dawn Forbes of Monett, Mo., and Tegan Matthews of Garden City; six grandkids, Nicole Cayouette and fiancé Derek Lombardo of Coventry, R.I., Jordan and Holly Cayouette of Coventry, R. I., Bryan Forbes and wife, Kalyn, of Woodward, Okla.; Jeremy Forbes and wife, Sabrina, of Lincoln, Neb., Jeana Hobbs of Woodward, Okla., and Anna York of Monett, Mo.; five great-grandchildren, Wyatt Cayouette of Coventry, R.I., Paisley and Beau Forbes of Woodward, Okla., and Scarlett and Roselyn Forbes of Lincoln, Neb.
Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2021, and funeral mass will be at Friday, June 18, both at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Elkhart, with the Reverend Francis Khoi Nguyen officiating.
Interment will follow at Elkhart Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Knights of Columbus in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 854, Elkhart, KS 67950.
