PARKER, Colo. – The Hays Larks opened their four-game road swing through Colorado with a loss to the Gameday Angels Friday night. Monday night they avenged their only Rocky Mountain Baseball League loss with a 12-8 win over the Angels at Double Angle Ballpark.
The Larks (7-2, 4-1 RMBL) took a 6-1 lead into the bottom of the eighth. Gameday (3-2, 3-2 RMBL) scored four in the inning to pull within a run, but the Larks answer with six in the top of the ninth. The Angels score three in the bottom of the ninth.
Dylan Dreiling and Palmer Hutchison both hit home runs and both drove in three. Hutchison hit a two-run shot in the sixth which pushed the Larks lead to 5-1. Dreiling hit a three-run shot in the ninth give the Larks a 9-5 lead.
Hutchison added two doubles to finish with three hits as did Tyler Larue.
Starter Luuk Ter Beek (1-0) allowed one run on five hits with two strikeouts and no walks and was awarded the win.
The Larks open a six-game homestand Wednesday against the Colorado Roughriders.
