Nearly two inches of rain fell in Hays overnight Tuesday.
The official amount measured at the K-State Agricultural Research Center south of town was 1.90 inches.
The Eagle Media Center, 2300 Hall, received 1.43 inches, for a total of 3.10 inches of rain since Friday.
September has been a wet month in Hays.
As of Wednesday morning at 9 a.m., 5.79 inches of rain has fallen, more than double the average of 2.24 inches by month's end.
The accumulative average of moisture for the year by the end of September is 19.84 inches. Hays has already reached 22.50 inches so far in 2025.
The rain is expected to end today with sunshine and warmer temperatures in the three-day weather forecast.
