HESSTON – One day after breaking the school’s 18 hole tournament record, the Hays High girls golf team did it again on Friday, shooting a 326 to win the Buhler Invitational. After firing a 329 on Thursday in Garden City, the Indians fired a 326 at the Hesston Municipal Golf Course.
The Indians won the team title by three strokes over Maize. Winfield finished third with a 356.
Abbie Norris led the Indians with a 5-over-par 76 and finished second, 10 shots behind Kinslea Jones of Maize. Katie Dinkel shot an 81 and finished fifth. Lily Garrison placed seventh with an 83. Jaycee Oakley finished just outside the top-10 with an 86.
