TOPEKA - The TMP-Marian baseball team will be the No. 7 seed for the 2-1A State Tournament and play Marion in the quarterfinals Thursday, May 23 in the 11:00 a.m. game at the Great Bend Sports Complex in Great Bend.
The Monarchs (20-9) are making their first state tournament appearence since 2022 after a thrilling 5-4 win over top-seed Salina-Sacred Heart in the Hays 2-1A regional Thursday.
The Warriors (21-4) won the Rosalia-Flinthills regional Monday. They outscored their three opponents 40-1 in their three regional games and have won six-straight and 16 of their last 17 games.
