
Priscilla Rae Moore, 76, of Colby, died Friday, December 25, 2020, at Citizens Medical Center, Colby. She was born August 22, 1944, in Grinnell, KS, to John “J.E.” and Gertrude (Schwarz) Moore. Priscilla married David Moore on December 12, 1961 and to this union 6 children were born. They later divorced.
Priscilla spent many years working as a
waitress, and she strived to give all her customers friendly and
efficient service. In the mid 90’s she moved to Lafayette, CO and lived
there for 14years before moving to Colby, where she had lived the last
12 years. Priscilla enjoyed visiting her kids in Massachusetts and when
she couldn’t be there in person, would mail them homemade cinnamon
rolls. She was a good friend and sister and loved having people over for
meals and baking and cooking for others. She also enjoyed bowling and
volunteering as a Pink Lady at Citizens Medical Center with the Retired
Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).
Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents; grandson Colter Suters
and siblings, John Moore, Gretchen Anderson and Carol Albers.
She is survived by her children, Michele (Johnny Gilbert) Moore,
Lafayette, CO, Colleen (Ken) Bixenman, Colby, KS; Camille (Tim)
Moore-Vahle, Swink, CO, Monique Suters, North Adams, MA, Michael (Robyn)
Moore, Pratt, KS and Andrew Moore, Oakley, KS; siblings, Jeanne Mann,
Quinter, KS, Joe Moore, Overbrook, KS, Pat (Edie) Moore, Lee’s Summit,
MO; Helen (Jerry) Nieman, Golden, CO; Mike (Peggy) Moore, Hays, KS and
Iris (Jerald) Peterson, Rose Hill, KS; 10 grandchildren, Erica Schmidt,
Jessica (Aaron) Dempewolf, Jared (Sally) Bixenman, Josephine Einsel,
Jaydon Bixenman, Makenzie Suters, Marlee Suters, Jake Einsel, Ella
Suters and Julian Bixenman and eight great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held. Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart
Church, Thomas County EMS, RSVP, or Genesis Food Bank and can be sent in
