SHERMAN COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 10a.m. Sunday in Sherman County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2022 Dodge Ram driven by Gavin S. Schippers, 18, Hoxie, was westbound on Interstate 70 just east of County Road 3.
The pickup entered the median, struck a guardrail and came to rest under a bridge on the interstate. EMS transported a passenger Dane A. Castle, 20, Hoxie to Goodland Regional Medical Center. Schippers was not injured. Castle was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
