🥎 Errors cost HHS at Dodge City

DODGE CITY - The Hays High softball broke a scoreless tie with a run in the top of the fourth inning Tuesday in Dodge City but the Red Demons answered with two in the bottom of the frame then added three in the fifth and beat the Indians 6-1.

Branna Schwien scored the Indians lone run on Lakyn Zimmerman two-out single to center.

The Red Demons took advantage of two errors to score two unearned runs in the bottom of the fourth. Two of their three runs in the next inning came off an Indian error.

Aubree Thomas allowed only on earned run on eight hits with 10 strikeouts and two walks but took the loss for HHS who drops to 2-1 on the season.

The Indians will host Dodge City Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at the Bickle-Schmidt Sports Complex.
