THOMAS COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 10a.m. Sunday in Thomas County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2015 GMC Sierra driven by Melvin D. Gilley, 54, Burlington, Colorado, was eastbound on 4th Street in Colby.
As the pickup approached the the Range Avenue intersection, it moved into the far right lane to make a right turn. The driver failed to stop at the red light, continued into the intersection and collided with a northbound 2013 Chevy Malibu driven by Lucas Santos, 40, Colby.
EMS transported a passenger in the pickup Nancy K. Gilley, 54, Burlington, Colorado, to the Thomas County Medical Center. The drivers were not injured. All three were. properly restrained, according to the KHP.
