Barbara Jo Wright was born July 21, 1944 in Norton, to Walter and Mary (Eaton) Koel. She passed away Dec. 18, 2021 in Norton at the age of 77.
Barbara moved around a lot as a child due to her father working in construction. She attended Lenora High School and later received her GED. On Sept. 3, 1961, Barbara married Gerald Eldon Wright at the Catholic Church in Norton. She was a hardworking and loving wife and mother.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mary; husband, Eldon in 2017; brother, Richard Koel in 2019, and niece, Mary Pauline Koel.
She is survived by her son, Clayton Wright of Norton; sister, Dianna (Thomas) Carr of Moses Lake, Wash; brother, Ronald Koel of Denver; nieces and nephews: Jeff Koel, Stephanie Koel, Lloyd Koel, Ricky Koel, Brian Koel, Brent Koel, Kevin Koel, and Jason Fitzgerald, and many other family members and friends.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021 at the Norton Cemetery.
