KDHE: 25 new COVID cases in Ellis Co. since Friday; count tops 4,000

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment on Monday reported 25 new COVID-19 cases in Ellis County had been identified since Friday.

There have been 216 new COVID-19 cases identified in Ellis County in the month of August after a lull in cases dwindled to near zero in June.

As of Monday, the University of Kansas Health System reported 12 COVID-19 inpatients at HaysMed.

Since reporting began, there have been 4,020 cases of COVID-19 identified in Ellis County, including 74 coronavirus-related deaths.
