USD 388 is excited to let you know that USDA has extended the summer feeding program benefit through the first semester of the school year. As a result, breakfast and lunch will be free for everyone. We will begin this program on Monday, September 14, 2020. Students will be able to eat free breakfast and lunch until December 18th or until federal money for the program runs out.
This free meal program will be open to any 1-18-year-old kids living in our community. For those students who are NOT currently physically attending either Washington Grade School or Ellis Jr/Sr High School, you will need to sign up for meals using this link. Please fill out one time per student. Each day from 12:15-12:30 pm, we will be distributing a lunch for that day and a breakfast for the next morning for those who sign up. Meals will be picked up in the Washington Grade School circle drive. Meals will only be served on days’ school is in session. We will start serving grab and go meals on Monday, September 14th at 12:15 pm.
Parents are still highly encouraged to complete and turn in their free and reduced lunch applications ASAP. This will ensure free and reduced students are approved to go when this program ends. At that point and time, lunch prices will go back to the current established rate. Student’s current lunch balance will be held until next semester unless they are purchasing extra milk or other a la carte items at the high school.
We hope this gives our families some financial help as we end our first semester.
This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
