
BARTON COUNTY—A northwest Kansas man is under investigating for alleged child sex crimes.
Just before 8:30p.m. May 10, police initiated a traffic stop in the 2100 block of 24th street in Great Bend after receiving a Flock (License Plate Reader Camera) notification alerting officers to a wanted person, according to a social media report from police.
Police confirmed the driver identified as 42-year-old Michael Podrybau of Alton was confirmed as the wanted subject.
Officers arrested Podrybau for a warrant issued by the FBI on requested charges of Distribution of Obscene Visual Representation of the Sexual Abuse of Children and for Sexual Exploitation of a Minor of Child, Sexual Abuse Material.
Podrybau is being held in the Barton County Jail where he awaits extradition, according to police.
