While at Fort Hays, Ron met the love of his life, Linda Mae Sekavec. They were united holy matrimony on December 27, 1971. To this union two sons were born, Matthew was born on January 5, 1977, and Daniel was born on June 4, 1980.
Ron and Linda returned to Ness County where Linda taught special education at Ness City and Jetmore. Throughout his forty plus years teaching Ron touched many lives, minds, and hearts.
During his retirement, Ron was the primary caregiver of his wife Linda. They shared a very special bond which could only be understood if you witnessed it. They loved and cared for each other immensely. Together they provided a loving home and a living example of marital vows. Ron genuinely cared about people. He was always available for a conversation, advice, a laugh, a hug, or simply listening. Ron epitomized the rare combination of excellent conversationalist and attentive listener who could light up a room with his grand personality. Ron will be greatly missed by those who knew him and loved him. Now, if God wills it, he can be reunited with those who have passed before him, especially his soul mate Linda. They may finally dance together once again.
