HAYS - The Hays Larks scored 13 runs n the second inning which was more than plenty in 22-0 rout of the Colorado Springs Outlaws Friday at Larks Park.
Catcher Brady Evans went 4-for-5 and was a double away from hitting for the cycle and drove in seven runs. Evans hit a grand slam and a single in the decisive second inning as the Larks sent 18 batters to the plate.
Five Larks pitchers held the Outlaws to five singles. Starter Ben Baker-Livingston pitched the first three and picked up the win.
The Larks improved to 21-6 overall and 15-3 in the Rocky Mountain Baseball League. They play the middle game of their three-game series with the Outlaws Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at Larks Park.
