Fort Hays State plays at Central Oklahoma on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. The Tigers enter at 1-5 on the season, while the Bronchos are 4-2. Fort Hays State has won the last four meetings between the teams in Edmond.

Central Oklahoma snapped a five-game losing streak to Fort Hays State last year by winning 24-14 in Hays. It was just the second win for UCO against FHSU in MIAA play as the Tigers now lead that seven-game history 5-2. UCO owns the lead in the overall series history at 8-6.

The Tigers have scored at least 30 points in their last four appearances in Edmond. In 2011 before UCO was a member of the MIAA, the Tigers won 38-21. In 2015, the Tigers escaped Edmond with a 30-29 win on a last-second field goal, then won 31-24 in 2017 on a 64-yard touchdown pass with 42 seconds remaining. FHSU then produced its largest margin of victory against UCO in the last meeting between the teams in Edmond in 2019 by a score of 35-7.

Fort Hays State averages the third-most passing yards per game in the MIAA at 267.7. Central Oklahoma averages the third-most rushing yards per game in the conference at 166.7. FHSU averages just a bit more total offense per game at 378.3 yards, compared to 351.5 by UCO.

Jack Dawson has thrown for at least 225 yards in all four of his starts at quarterback this season. He has thrown for six touchdowns and ran for four. Adrian Soto leads the Tiger rushing attack at 52.7 yards per game.

Manny Ramsey is climbing the receiving record lists at Fort Hays State. He has 2,368 receiving yards, ranking third in school history. He is currently sixth on the career receptions list with 160, but is just eight back of second all-time. He is tied for second in 100-yard receiving games in a career with nine, just one behind Lance Schwindt's record of 10.

On the defensive side of the ball, Makel Williams lead the Tigers in tackles with 41. Jeremiah Jackson-Trotter leads in sacks (5.5) and tackles for loss (8.5), while Myles Menges leads in pass breakups with four. The Tigers have spread their five interceptions this season among five different players.
