
Richard “Rich” Rupp, 70, Buckeye, Arizona, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, November 7, 2025, surrounded by family.
He was born November 22, 1954, in Hays, the son of Melvin and Rose Mary (Binder) Rupp. On May 29, 1982, he was united in marriage to Rose (Schoenberger) Brungardt, and they moved to Arizona in 1985. Early in life, Richard worked in the construction industry, and for 20 years, until his retirement, he worked for the Department of Corrections where he was an officer for armed medical transport.
A man of quiet strength, devotion, and unwavering love, Richard loved deeply, worked faithfully, and cherished his family above all else. He found joy in life’s everyday moments, gardening, home projects, and sharing laughter with those he loved. Richard leaves behind a legacy of love that continues to bloom in the lives of his family. He will be forever remembered and held closely in the hearts of those who deeply loved him.
Survivors include his wife Rose Rupp of Buckeye, AZ, his children Michelle Noel of Panama City, FL, Vincent Brungardt of Phoenix, AZ, and Pamela Mather (Nick) of Glendale, AZ, his grandchildren, Heather Lincoln (Jack) of Savanna, GA, Daniel Noel (fiancé Natalie) of San Antonio, TX, Ashley Noel of Panama City, FL, Brandon Brungardt (Leigh) of Fort Stewart, GA, Krystal McNealy (Devon Grulke) of Tonopah, AZ, and Nicholas Brungardt of Tolleson, AZ, his great grandchildren, Weston McNealy, Riley and Zoey Brungardt, and Kade Noel, his brothers, Joe, David, and Louie Rupp, all of Hays, and Vernon Rupp of San Antonio, TX, and his sister, Rosalie Schmeidler (Allen) of Hays.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
