Anthony 'Butch' L. Feldt

Anthony "Butch" L. Feldt, 87, of Park, Kansas, passed away November 21, 2021, at the Sheridan County Health Complex.

He was born on July 17, 1934, at the family home near Park, Kansas, the ninth child of Anton and Anna (Reinert) Feldt. He grew up on the family farm and attended Park Elementary and graduated from the Park High School. Following graduation, he served in the United States Army for two years. Following his honorable discharge from the Army he returned home to help his parents with the farm. On April 30, 1957, Butch married the love of his life Mary Ann Rupp. They lived on the family farm, farming, and running the dairy. They were blessed with a family of three sons and two daughters.

Butch spent all his life as a farmer and dairy farmer. He also had a business, Feldt Sales, selling tarps, grain carts, and grinders. He was part of the Machinery, Equipment, and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers Industry. He traveled to many farms shows showing and selling his wares. He enjoyed working with and helping organize the Gove County Rodeo. Butch and Mary Ann worked hard, but they did enjoy a trip to Germany. Butch also loved to play and teach others to play pitch. Butch never knew a stranger and had a giggle one could not forget. He was very devoted to his Lord and Savior. He worked faithfully in and for the church and was active in the Knights of Columbus.

Butch is survived by his son, Roy Feldt and wife Linda of Lavon, Texas; daughters, Barbara Ellegood and husband Tate of Hays, Kansas and Rosanne Schroeder and husband Stan of Gilbert, Arizona; grandchildren, Matt Schroeder, Jenny Bretz, Jason Feldt, Greg Feldt, Cole Feldt, and Shelly Butler; eight great-grandchildren; extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann; parents, Anton, and Anna Feldt; sons, Edwin Feldt and Douglas Feldt; brothers, Jerome Feldt, Jack Feldt, Pete Feldt, Clete Feldt, and Norb Feldt; and sisters, Bette Younger, Teresa Benton, and Anna Marie Huelsman; and granddaughter, Shari Schroeder.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Park, Kansas at 10:00 A.M. with interment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Park following the service. Visitations will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021, at Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home, Hoxie, Kansas from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and Saturday, November 27, 2021, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Park, Kansas from 8:30 A.M. until service time, 10:00 A.M. A Vigil and Rosary Service will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Friday, November 26, 2021 at 7:15 P.M.
