Donald Clifford Quakenbush, 77, passed away on Jan. 29, 2022, in Seguin,
KS. Don was born on Dec. 3, 1944, in Colby, KS to Clifford and Cecilia
(Unterciner) Quakenbush.
Don grew up in Colby where he found the love for fishing. In his
older years he enjoyed playing BINGO and was always ready for a road
trip. But most of all Don loved spending time with his family. Don
worked in the oil fields and farmed in the Seguin area. Don retired
from the Road and Bridge Department in Sheridan County.
Donald was survived by daughter: Debra (Curtis) Meier of Norton, KS;
sons: Dwayne (Kim) Quakenbush of Oberlin, KS and Terry Quakenbush of
Wichita, KS; grandsons: Brayden Quakenbush, Dustin Quakenbush and Nick
Phillips; brothers: David (Kathy) Quakenbush of Gorham, KS and Melvin
(Teresa) Quakenbush of Ronan, MT; sisters: Linda (Dale) Bowen of
Manhattan, KS and Esther (James) Armknecht of Dighton, KS. Don was
preceded by his parents, sons: Mickeal Quakenbush and an infant son;
grandchildren: Kristina Quakenbush and Aaron Phillips.
Cremation services were chosen and burial will be in the Hoxie City
