Hays Post and Eagle Radio of Hays news, video and graphic design professionals have been honored in the 2021 Kansas Press Association Awards of Excellence.
Jordan Schaeffer, production director, earned first place in the political ad category (with marketing consultant Doug Minson), while videographer Jarrod Brantley placed second in both the sports video and online ad (motion) categories.
Reporter Cristina Janney earned a third-place finish in the news story and youth story categories. Videographer and graphic designer Bryan Dennett also earned a third-place award for best political ad (with marketing consultant Mike Holliday).
Hays Post, one of a handful of digital-only KPA members, competes against the largest publications in the state of Kansas, including the Wichita Eagle, Kansas City Star and Topeka Capital Journal.
