Mark Wayne Clews, 63, of WaKeeney, Kansas, passed away on January 28, 2022. Mark was born on December 28th, 1958, and grew up in WaKeeney, Kansas. He graduated from Trego Community High School in 1976.

Mark worked as a semi-truck driver for many years. He worked for several companies as well as owned his own truck for numerous years. He really enjoyed music of many types, because of this he took on a second profession. He was the owner and operator of Rolling Thunder Entertainment DJ Service. Mark shared his music multiple times to help benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Foundation.  

Mark is survived by his sisters, Jeanette Clews of Wichita, KS, Tracey Post (Dustin) of Kansas City, MO, and his step siblings, Peggy Carter (Jim) of Graham, TX, Terrence Zordel (Lao) of Smith, AL, Daniel Zordel (Loretta) of Hays, KS, Kelly Bliss (Lee Chaney) of Graham, TX, Timothy Zordel (Sandy) of Silver Lake, KS, and brother-in-law Matthew Venechuk of Surprise, AZ. Along with many nieces and nephews.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Wilma (Bender) Clews, his stepmother Jennie (Lorenz, Zordel) Clews, and his step sister Tammy (Zordel) Venechuk.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, February 4, 2022,  at Schmitt Funeral Home in WaKeeney Kansas. Burial to follow at the city cemetery.

The visitation will be held on Thursday evening, on February 3, 2022, from 5-7 pm.
