Three members of the Hays High Indians have been named to the Sports In Kansas 5A All-State team. Riley Dreher, Aubrey Thomas and Dezarae Schmidt are all honorable mention selections.
Kaydawn Haag of Ellis was named a second team outfielder in Class 2-1A. Teammate Hannah Schiel was named a second team catcher. Haley Schmidt and Myah McCoy were honorable mention picks.
Every KSHSAA team in Kansas is eligible for the Sports In Kansas honors and claims to be the most complete list in Kansas with all leagues and nearly every school with some type of representation.
Input from media members across the state determines the picks, other factors include competition, team success, stats and all-league.
