HAYS – The Hays High softball team ended a three-game losing streak with a 4-1 win over Dodge City Tuesday at the Bickle-Schmidt Sports Complex. The Indians improve to 2-3 and 2-1 in the Western Athletic Conference.
Morgan Berry hit a two-out, two-run homer to put the Indians up 2-1. Riley Dreher drove in two with a double in the bottom of the sixth for the final margin.
Zimmerman had three hits, Dreher and Berry both added two.
Aubree Thomas allowed one run on two hits with 11 strikeouts and one walk and picked up the complete game victory.
The Indians play a doubleheader at Dodge City Tuesday.
