⛳ Indians, Monarchs individuals advance to day 2 at state

Neither the Hays High or TMP-Marian girls' golf teams advanced out of day one competition at their respective state golf tournaments, however both have individuals moving on to Tuesday's final round.

The top six teams plus the next 18 individual golfers not on one of those teams, plus ties, qualify for day two. 

Hays High's Ava Erbert and Kinley Pfannenstiel both advance at 5A in Emporia. Erbert shot a 23-over par, 94 and was tied for 28th place. Kinley Pfannenstiel shot a 98 and was tied for 38th.

TMP-Marian has three individuals who advanced at 3-2-1A in Salina. The Monarchs are led by Brynn Schoepf who was in fifth place after an 11-over par, 81 and sits eight back of  Goodland's Allison Cure who was the clubhouse leader after day one with a 73. The Monarchs Paige Koeningsman shot a 94 and was part of a five-way tie for 30th. Emma Wasinger fired a 96 and was part of a six-way tie for 39th.

The Monarchs were tied for seventh in the team standings after day one and missed qualifying as a team by five strokes.
