
Marcellyn J. Knoll, 84, died Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Garden Valley
Retirement Village in Garden City, Kansas. He was born October 30, 1936, in St. Peter, Kansas, the son of Adam J. & Eva Beatrice (Richmeier)
Knoll.
Marcellyn moved with his family to the family farm in the Holcomb,
Kansas area when he was a child. He later moved to Garden City where he
has lived since. Marcellyn worked in various jobs throughout his life
and retired as a store clerk at Dillon’s West in 2001. He was a member
of St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City and a member of the Knights
of Columbus #2795. He enjoyed spending his time doing jigsaw puzzles,
woodworking, and Tandy leatherwork.
Survivors include two sisters Agnella Horning of Garden City,
Kansas and Cyrilla L’Ecuyer of Eudora, Kansas; and many nieces and
nephews. Marcellyn is preceded in death by his parents; six brothers
Gregory Knoll, Edwin Knoll, Edward Knoll, Clarence Knoll, Eugene Knoll,
& Al Knoll; and four sisters Josephine Meier, Genevieve Meier,
Adeline Burgardt, & Glorianne Bascue.
A Knights of Columbus Rosary will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday,
October 8, 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City. Funeral
Mass will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Jacob Schneider as Celebrant.

Funeral Home Facebook page. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00
p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. to Noon Friday all at Garnand
Funeral Home in Garden City. The family suggests memorials given to St.
Mary Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
