The Hays Department of Water Resources is notifying residents that M&B Construction crews will be working throughout the city beginning Monday Sept. 28 and continuing through October to reprogram approximately 1,500 water meters as part of the city’s recent Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) project.
Residents may see crews of four to six M&B employees wearing high-visibility shirts displaying the M&B Murphy logo shown above. The crews will be traveling in two white vans and may need to open selected water meter cans within the Hays city limits to complete the work.
Work at each location is expected to take less than 30 minutes. Water service will not be interrupted or otherwise affected during the reprogramming process.
The city apologizes for any inconvenience and appreciates residents’ cooperation as this work is completed.
